Kantha Cubist Necklace
Two strands of square Kantha beads layer to form a dramatically bold geometric statement necklace. Each piece is made from repurposed cotton Kantha and Sari textiles, so colors and patterns are unique and will vary. Measures 21" long with a 3.5" extender chain. Sustainably handmade by women artisans in India.
Kantha quilts are a traditional textile found in abundance in India. Artisans transform the fabric scraps into beads for jewelry, which provides new life to a textile that is often discarded.
Each Kantha bead has a base made of wood, carved out of scraps gathered from a local furniture factory.
